ABSTRACT

 

The purpose of this action research was to determine whether the implementation of the

scientific approach using PBL models to improve learning achievement and problem solving skills in science subjects at population and environment concept. The study lasted for two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Each cycle consists of two meetings. The data in this study is the quantitative ones obtained through the evaluation results of each end of the cycle. In addition, the form of qualitative data obtained through observation, and teacher collaboration journal. Results of this study is the learning and problem solving skills have increased. This result show that implementation of a scientific approach using PBL models can improve learning achievement and problem solving skills.
